Protest the Detention of Suu Kyi
On May 25, the Myanmar government announced that it is extending the detention of Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, whose words of wisdom are included in Teaching Tolerance's One World Poster Set. Teaching Tolerance calls on educators who have received this free teaching kit to hang Suu Kyi's poster in their classrooms as an act of protest - and invites all educators to use our "Join Hands" activity, inspired by Suu Kyi, as an act of protest.

A Special Invitation
On May 14, Teaching Tolerance reported on CNN's Lou Dobbs and his crusade to demonize undocumented immigrants. This Friday, June 1, at 2 p.m. EST, Morris Dees and Richard Cohen of the Southern Poverty Law Center will host a live online chat about the controversy. Please join us for this first-ever live webcast, a 30-minute audio chat.
