The ABCs of Hip Hop
This month - March is Music in Our Schools Month - Teaching Tolerance encourages educators to bring hip hop into the classroom and join with students in exploring the history of hip hop and the political and social contexts that gave rise to this dynamic global movement for social change.

Misogyny and Music
March is also Women's History Month, and Teaching Tolerance invites you to explore a 4-part series published in 2003 examining music's role in perpetuating sexism.

Raising Our Sons
Today, boys and young men are often portrayed as violent, drugged out, underachieving sexual predators and the cause of many of our social problems. Parent and educator Paul Kivel calls on us to celebrate boys and identifies four ways we can help them become caring men.

Songs for Young Peacemakers
I Will Be Your Friend, Teaching Tolerance's groundbreaking musical anthology for early grades classrooms, is free to schools and teachers.
